La yareta

A favorite song in this moment or my favorite song in all my life.. It is difficult think about that.. I like the music so much and I am listening all the time, in my mind, in my home in the radio (Play Fm) or my computer.

Today I want remember a special song called “La yareta” of Ximena Rodriguez and Cristian Diaz. It is special because when I was a child my father was in the living and put his cassette called “condores y alpacas” on the radio and always he asks me to dance him this song by $100. In that time $100 still was enough money for many candies (1/2 hours) or some sheet for to collect.

The song maybe isn´t my favorite but is one song that until today I listen because is a remember of my infancy and besides is folklore music, music of the north and is part of the culture aymara of Chile, Perú and Bolivia.

The lyric of the song tell a story of a man in love. Tell a courting. I like more the melody, the sounds of the instruments, the rhythm.

The singer comes to the Viña Festival in 1990. Is an information that I found in Youtube but I didn`t know it. In fact I recently discovered the singers, when was I child I just danced. The names of singer or of the singers or of the group I haven`t any idea. I thought to find all the songs of that cassette now lost.

In middle of Coldplay, the killers or some other band like that always I will have one of these songs of the “condores y alpacas” for to listen.

MAKTUB

Think in some country…Wow!! I will travel always … Europe, South America, Africa…
But if I should chose, I can chose a country of Europe where the art is in anyplace. It will be the logic to know France or Italy by my career but since my 14 years so so I have a kind of fantasy or dream with the religion musulmana. All it started when I watched the television serie called “EL CLON”, a super production of Brazil. It is funny tell them but I was Jade totally.
I feel an interest in the dances and clothes, I believe that are beautiful. I will know Fez and I will be in a climate hot and a landscape desert. I really like the desert.
This trip will be just by pleasure but obviously my knowledge will be more.
Marruecos is known by some ruins (ruins that I watched in EL CLON) and the market of Fez. I don`t know exactly where are or which are but there are some called Ruinas de Aït-ben-Hadou, big constructions of Arabian architecture.
Also is the market of Fez, a large trip by Medinas and the stands of cloth that they are infinite. I think I will spend all my money in that.
Maybe someday I do this trip, but now it is only the image of this fantasy. If this dream or not can be true will be some like the end of television serie, the word MAKTUB that means “It was wrote.” Is a nice word and means that I will hope or the events that will happen were for me. It is some of the destiny. The destiny is some so own of that culture and for me will be important live it.
Now, I should just wait. I hope the wait isn`t a long wait.

CONFLICT

Today, later of two weeks of vacation, we found us with the Mapuches’s conflict. But this problem it is not a problem of now. It’s not. While all the country cried by the miners, me too, we forgot the 32 mapuches in hunger strike. They take more than two months in that condition.
I especially I don`t know much about the case. I think the Chilean people don`t feel interest about the problem because is a problem, a big problem. Neither the news gives importance or much importance to the theme. TVN still is miners.
Besides, I think that the mapuches or the native people don`t feel part of the country. Paradoxically in our country the native people are in the extremes of the territory and they are isolated.
In other aspect, it is a surprise to me to know that the anti terrorism law was applied by first time in the Government of the today old Aylwin. And if Piñera has done something or not, I think that no. He waits a moment critic for be a hero o something like that. With the theme of the miners all the people was grateful with Piñera and the percentage of approbation to the president increased in good numbers.
I don`t know how more the mapuches can endure the situation, only living of saline solution. I just hope that nobody died. Although maybe that is they want or are willing to do for pressure to the government.
They are the start of Chile; they were the first residents of the country. They are our history and our identity too. Where we come of? The answer is easy. They are our ancestors… although I have ancestors of the north.. aymaras also native people.

THE D DAY

In the last months in our country have happened a lot of important events. We can think in the earthquake, in the miners now or in the thermo electrical that also had importance in the news.
I think that the event of the year will be the earthquake. Since 1985 there wasn`t an earthquake. It was about time, but nobody thought that there would come a tsunami too. It was a true tragedy. Some people died, many people now don`t have home. The time pass, the immediate help arrived but now what?
In the last few days the news are concentrated in the miners, but not long ago I saw a strike of the people in the south. The people want solutions, the people have waited since February, the months pass and the people want a live again.
I remember that night was very chaotic. I think now and I imagine the people living the tsunami Wow! It was terrible. The earthquake was so long in time and space, almost the half of Chile.
February 27 will be “the D day” in our history and of course showed the swindle of some constructor companies. Just here in Santiago we can walk and we can see several building with problems, empty and some should be destroyed.
In these situations the action of the government is fundamental. The fiscal control should act. And it should act good and efficiently.
I will remember this date. It was my first earthquake and I don`t know if I can live one again jaj.. Wait 20 or 25 years and there we can see if the country has improved or not.

100 years, 1000 dreams

Hello!!
I remember a concert in 2008. It was an event very important because it was a commemoration of Salvador Allende. I ‘m not communist or something similar but i share your spirit of struggle and obviously I love the music, in special Intillimani. The event called “100 years, 1000 dreams” and was in November 7 in 2008 in the National Stadium. I went with Natalia and Gabriela and others friends. I bought a band for my head and already I was ready.
I sang how never and enjoyed a lot. The groups sang just two or three songs because there are many artists that should presented too. When appears Intillimani WOW..
My father says that I am communist because I like this type of music but he doesn`t remember that this music come of him, of his cassettes. My parents have a culture of Chilean music, the folklore and the andina music.
Also were Los jaivas and Illapu, this group to my friend Natalia like too much in special “vuelvo”. Also was a man of Brazil, I didn`t know him but Gabriela sang all his songs. I just enjoyed. It was my first concert, in my first year of university, in my first year far of home. Well, I don`t live very far, exactly in the sixth region, but my house now is Santiago.
The concert finished past two, in the night. My back suffered. Never had I thought that a concert was so exhausting, but yes, it was.
I returned to my flat so tired.. but It was great.

Animals Rights

Animal Rights
Now, we start the last level of English, the level IV.
So, here we go with the blog and my first post in the class.

I am going to speak about the Animal Rights in Chile. The topic is some very delicate, in special for the people that love the animals and defend the cause.
I remember a case that I saw in the news. A person launched their dog from a ninth flat. I don`t remember if the dog died or not, but is the most probable. This is a case in where we see the animal rights violated. The problem is that these rights are just in the mind of the people with heart and that fell a deep love by the animals. I think that the Chilean law haven`t consideration by the animals and preoccupation or many preoccupation with the matter. In the case I described, the person wasn`t punished. That is a serious mistake because that way the violence toward the animals continues. There isn`t only violence in domestic situations also violence with the contamination, for example the spillage of petroleum that affect directly to the fauna. Who repair that destruction? Is an irreversible situation, the animals die.

In our country there are organizations of help and protection of the animals, in special of the street dogs. Dogs that haven`t master and they just live in any place.

More conscience by the animals, just that the law will change and the animals could live better.
